Energy efficiency labelling for our lamps and lighting systems
According to Regulation (EU) 874/2012, from 1 September 2013 or 1 March 2014, lamps and lighting systems must be marked with an energy efficiency label. Some of our lamps and lighting systems are also affected by this regulation.
Also, for online trading, the representation in products that are relevant in terms of energy efficiency, has been defined more precisely. According to Regulation (EU) 518/2014, these products must be marked with an energy efficiency label from 1 January 2015. In addition, a product data sheet must be made available to the buyer.
An exception to this rule are lamps and LED modules that
– have a luminous flux of less than 30 lumens
– for use with batteries
– not primarily marketed for lighting purposes (e.g. infrared lamps)
The labelling requirement under Regulation (EU) 518/2014 applies only to new or updated products, marketed with a new model name or number from 1 January 2015.
Since the energy label for the end-user must be viewable at the time of purchase, the energy efficiency labels for the products concerned are available for download in our Webshop under the “Ecolabel” designation.
