The Black Keys – On tour with Palmer DI’s

“The Black Keys” – an American Bluesrock Duo and multiple Grammy award winner – rely 9 times out of 10 on Palmer DI’s for their live performances, confessed Jason Tarulli (FOH engineer for the Black Keys) in an interview with Mix.
Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney otherwise known as "The Black Keys" rely 9 times out of 10 on Palmer DI's!
When Tarulli started working as an FOH engineer for the Black Keys, Auerbach and Carney were just at the beginning of their career. Today, all three, along with system engineer Richie Gibson and monitor technician Robert Elliot, look back on an impressive career. Since the publication of the latest album “Turn Blue” in May 2014, The Black Keys are back on tour in the States.

In an interview with Mix magazine, Tarulli said that they almost exclusively rely on Palmer DI’s for their stage show. Dan (guitar technician for the Black Keys) uses four guitar amplifiers, but when combined, they produce unwanted sounds, so instead he uses Palmer DI’s 9 times out of 10.
