With the motto “IT’S TIME”, our exclusive pre-event for Prolight + Sound 2022 took place on the evening of Monday April 25 in the Experience Centre at our HQ near Frankfurt, Germany! Around 300 guests were invited, including customers, distributors, partners and press representatives from all over the world. They experienced a thrilling display of new products, with the largest product launch in the history of the LD Systems® brand and the presentation of new product highlights from Cameo®, Gravity® and many more. They were also delighted by a surprise performance from Milky Chance. The band played an exclusive live concert at the end of the evening, in what was a hugely successful start to Prolight + Sound 2022.
“After a break of almost three years from the event, we wanted to send a very clear message of optimism to our customers and partners with this Come Together: it’s time to come together again, to shape the future of LIVE together and to discuss innovations. We look forward to welcoming the world to us and to Frankfurt!”
Markus Jahnel, COO Adam Hall Group
In the after-movie, we’ve summarised the best moments of the event for you:
„WTF“ – What The Future?!
The evening – which focused on the future of human interactions and encounters – opened with an exciting keynote by Konrad Gulla, founder and CEO of TrendOne, a Hamburg-based company that helps companies to identify trends at an early stage and increase their capacities for innovation.
Gulla started his presentation with the words “Change means Chance” and showed that the event industry must see change in any form as an opportunity. The last two years have deconstructed the event industry – our task now is to reconstruct it and integrate new forms of encounter. Because: Digital encounters will remain, BUT they cannot replace the “campfire moment”. It is much more important to personalise experiences and to give people – whether in analogue or digital encounters – what they want. The event industry will also benefit from digital opportunities and become more flexible.
Product and industry news from LD Systems® and Cameo®
During the event, the LD Systems® MAILA® was presented to the public for the very first time in an unveiling show. Through a product presentation, a sound demo and a hands-on session with the development team, our guests were able to get to know the product down to the smallest detail. The modular, intelligent all-round line array (MAILA for short!) represents a milestone for the LD Systems® brand (which was founded 20 years ago, in 2002), and offers the touring and rental market an extremely flexible and scalable product that has never been seen before in our industry.
Our lighting brand Cameo® was also able to showcase its first profilers, the ZENIT® W600SMD, an ultra-bright outdoor wash light, and the OTOS® H5, a fully road and rider-ready beam spot wash hybrid moving head with IP65 certification, proving that the brand is increasingly responsive to – and is able to – serve the needs of professional lighting designers and rental companies by expanding its product portfolio.
For those of you who want to find out more about the products and other innovations: LD Systems® and Cameo® will be represented on two separate exhibition stands at Prolight + Sound 2022!

Successful finale: live performance by the band Milky Chance
The evening was rounded off by a great performance by the globally successful act Milky Chance. The band – which has won many awards, including the German Sustainability Award – played live using the LD Systems MAILA, so that the audience could also experience the system’s live sound for themselves.
The host of the evening was Kati Eismann, Global Marketing Director of the Adam Hall Group, who summed up by saying:
“Even though we live in times of high volatility and uncertainty, looking to the future, digitalisation offers great opportunities. Organising and producing live experiences will become more challenging, but you will come back stronger than ever, because nothing beats being together in real life. So let’s get on with it!”
