Strong partners collaborate to provide excellent training opportunities
Hanover Langenhagen, Germany – 13. December 2017 – With the opening of the newly constructed Experience Center in June 2018, the Adam Hall Academy is continuing to fulfil its versatile remit by complementing Adam Hall Group’s extensive range to also include the new Education division set up in partnership with DEAplus (the German Event Academy Deutsche Event Akademie GmbH).
Together with DEAplus, the Adam Hall Academy will provide a comprehensive, manufacturer-independent range of seminars, workshops and training courses from all event technology sectors. The range includes certified training courses in areas such as lighting, sound, rigging, video and media technology. This will provide inquisitive minds with the chance to undertake further training opportunities and courses offered by DEAplus at the Adam Hall Group headquarters in the heart of the Rhine-Main area. In addition to the DEAplus location in Langenhagen/Hanover, the partnership with the Adam Hall Academy highlights a wide range of similarities in expertise and facilities.
Anke Lohmann, Managing Director of DEAplus – and Graduate Engineer (FH) for theatre/event technology and pyrotechnics – describes the effect of the partnership: “A perfect overlap of expertise, creating many synergies and bringing real benefits to our participants.”
“The starting point was the increasing demand from our customers for training and various further and continuing education options,” explains Sarah Drexel, HR Manager at Adam Hall Group, who is responsible for the Adam Hall Academy. “At the same time, there was an internal request for bespoke training programmes, courses and workshops, both manufacturer-independent and specific to our range of brands, including LD Systems, Cameo Light, Adam Hall Stage Equipment and Palmer. In the future, the Adam Hall Academy will incorporate this and other industry-independent education areas and information events under the umbrella of our new, state-of-the-art Experience Center. With the DEAplus at our side, we have a renowned educational institution with a broad network of speakers as an organiser.”
As a leading German manufacturer and distribution company, the Adam Hall Group offers a comprehensive portfolio of event technology solutions for business customers worldwide. Its target groups include retailers, dealers, live event and rental companies, broadcast studios and AV and system integrators in both the private and public sector, as well as industrial flightcase manufacturers. Founded in 1999 as an initiative of the VPLT, the association of professional lighting and sound systems, the German Event Academy (DEA) specialises in hard facts and soft skills in the media and event industry. With quality certification in accordance with AZAV (Accreditation and Certification Regulation for employment development), DEAplus fulfils the demanding requirements of the legislator regarding the quality assurance of educational institutions.
“With our range of offsite training throughout the DACH region we have scored a hit. The number of seminars and workshops has greatly increased in the last two years. An indication that people interested in further training consider both subject-specific aspects and training location when making a decision. And it is also more ecologically sound if only the lecturers travel, while the participants just have a short journey!” summarises Lohmann about the current developments.
Opened in June 2018 as part of the Experience Center, the Adam Hall Academy is state-of-the-art equipped and features, among other things, computer-based workstations for seminar and workshop participants. For practically oriented technical seminars, functioning workstations are also available. Furthermore, the Experience Center’s integrated auditorium – which accommodates up to 800 people and features flexible, configurable sound, lighting and rigging technology – serves as an optional practical environment for descriptive training and demonstrations.
A place to learn and feel good
The Adam Hall Group clearly indicated the future with an investment of over 20 million euros in two new building complexes. Meanwhile, the partnership discussions began. Alongside the education and training facilities, Adam Hall Academy participants also have access to additional rooms in the handicapped accessible Adam Hall Experience Center. In the warm, industrial loft style of the great Silicon Valley innovators such as Google, Amazon and Tesla, the Experience Center features, among other things, its own in-house restaurant, Come Together, as well as a rooftop terrace that offers seminar participants a fantastic view of the Taunus Mountains during their breaks.
The DEAplus programme will appear shortly and various further training dates have already been confirmed to start from June 2018 at the Neu-Anspach location, which is conveniently located in the centre of the Hochtaunus district, not far from Frankfurt/M.
