Pyramids in Madrid – Cameo PIXBAR G2 frame the I Love Reggaeton Festival
Reggaeton is loud, fast and infectious. It’s not a case of spilling the beans, but of going all out – musically and visually. This also applies to the most recent I Love Reggaeton Festival, which took place within just a few days with exactly the same stage set-up, first in Valencia and then in Madrid. Top acts such as Maldy, Nacho and many more played in front of more than 30,000 spectators on the spectacular Main Stage, which, with its sharp, pyramid-shaped truss structures, provided the perfect platform for an equally spectacular lighting design. The star in the light rig was the Cameo PIXBAR 400 IP G2 LED bar.
An audiovisual experience
236 – that’s the number of PIXBAR 400 IP G2 fixtures needed to trace the contours of the 50 meters wide and up to 20 meters high stage at I Love Reggaeton. “The festival wants to offer a complete audiovisual experience. Accordingly, the lighting design had to be a real eye-catcher. With the PIXBAR 400 IP G2, we were able to frame the entire stage,” explains Efrain Andrade from Spanish rental company Fluge Audiovisuales.
“Unprecedented, the amount of light emitted by the PIXBAR 400 IP G2 is incredible, even during the day.”

Fluge has gained experience of the overall requirements of I Love Reggaeton from previous years and once again supplied the stage and lighting technology for the festival in 2024. Stage and lighting design were developed by Eduardo Valverde and his company Experiencias Visuales.
“Unprecedented, the amount of light emitted by the PIXBAR 400 IP G2 is incredible even during the day”, says Efrain Andrade. As the festival ran into the night hours, the operators had to dim the fixtures considerably after sunset to adjust the enormous brightness of the LED bars. In addition to the PIXBAR 400 IP G2, Fluge also opted for the Cameo ZENIT W600 Outdoor LED Wash Lights to bathe the stage and artists in alternating colors of light.

Cameo throughout June
Once the last reggaeton sounds fade away, the Cameo lights do not stop there. The entire stage construction remains in place to welcome the next open-air festivals two weeks later: Love the 90s and Love the Twenties. “In total, the spotlights will remain assembled outdoors at high temperatures for around one month,” explains Efrain Andrade. “Thanks to their excellent outdoor qualities, however, we can fully rely on the PIXBAR 400 IP G2 and ZENIT W600 in this respect.”
