The highest party of the year – LD Systems MAILA L provides sound for Secret Event in the Alps

Every year in April, the ski area of Sölden is transformed into a snow-covered dance floor. In 2023, the Electric Mountain Festival attracted around 18,000 partygoers and top DJs to the Austrian Alps. A very special event also took place on the summit of the Gaislachkogl: a Secret Party with invited VIP guests, influencers, and a live DJ. For the sound reinforcement in the stylish panorama restaurant, the Wilderness Studios team relied on a MAILA L Modular All-Round Intelligent Line Array from LD Systems.

As impressive as the 360° panoramic view of the “BIG3” of Sölden – the mountains Gaislachkogl, Tiefenbachkogl and Schwarze Schneid – is, the sound reinforcement of the all-round glazed indoor location is just as challenging! Here, the sound dispersion must be precisely controlled in order to reproduce the EDM beats of the DJs transparently and powerfully.

Felix Brunhuber and Lorenz Lerchbaumer from Wilderness Studios worked with the MAILA system for the first time for the Secret Party and were impressed by the quick, uncomplicated setup and the intuitive control through the MAILA App, which only took around ten minutes.

The LD Systems MAILA L system is the largest groundstack set in the MAILA family. It comprises two MAILA SUB 15” bandpass subwoofers and six MAILA SAT array satellites, plus one MAILA COL column module per stereo side.
