A Danish Special – Cameo ZENIT W600 and W300 Illuminate Snapsting Festival

From 21 to 30 June 2019, the Danish city of Viborg was abuzz. The reason was the Snapsting Festival: An annual festival held in the city of 40,000 that is famous far beyond the borders of the Jutland region. It includes countless small and large events as well as concerts for the approximately 125,000 visitors. The demands on the Cameo ZENIT W600 and ZENIT W300 LED outdoor wash lights were as varied as the program of the 10-day festival.

“We needed a flexible wash light that was suitable for both the stage lighting of a concert as well as the decorative illumination of various gastronomy areas,” explains Light Designer Kristoffer Nielsen. In total, Nielsen and the Danish event technology supplier Lystek used 16 ZENIT W600 and 36 ZENIT W300 wash lights to atmospherically illuminate both the live stage and the bar areas beneath the four giant umbrella systems in the old town.

Lystek has been working with the Cameo ZENIT series for a while now, and has gradually expanded their range. For Snapsting 2019, it was the light quality, compact housing design, magnetic SnapMag filter frame system, and, above all, the wireless DMX spotlight control that were crucial to the comprehensive technical service provider.

No cable, no cry

“The integrated W-DMX transceiver in the W600 and W300 turned out to be the perfect solution,” continues Nielsen. “Another fantastic option is the ability to connect other cable-based DMX products to the spotlight’s DMX output and control them.”
