Numerous awards for high-quality design

LD Systems MAUI P900, MAUI 11 G2, MAUI 28 G2, Cameo Zenit W600 and Gravity LTS 01B receive Red Dot Design Award. The Red Dot jury has decided: Following an evaluation process that took several days, during which all submitted products were individually tested and evaluated, several products from the Adam Hall Group received the Red Dot Award. The panel of experts assigns the internationally recognised seal of quality only to products with impressive design quality.

The fact that five products from the pro audio, LED lighting and stands sectors have been awarded the coveted trophy is further confirmation that the Adam Hall Group’s approach to positioning itself is not only based on first-class technical features and pioneering innovations, but also on excellent design.

The Red Dot Design Award, presented by a panel of experts in outstanding design, is another important addition to the list of awards for these products to date.

Evaluation platform for good design
The Red Dot Award: Product Design, which originated in 1955, determines each year’s best products. In 2018, designers and manufacturers from 59 nations submitted more than 6,300 entries into the competition. True to the motto “In search of good design & innovation”, a 40-member jury assessed the products individually and in their original form. Strict assessment criteria, including the degree of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and durability, form a basic template that the jurors fill out according to their expertise.

“All of the team are of course extremely proud to be included among the winners and the best in sector in one of the world’s best-known design competitions. To receive the Red Dot seal of quality for five of our products is a special honour and it confirms that we have done everything right,” says Alexander Pietschmann, CEO of the Adam Hall Group.

“I congratulate the winners on their great success in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018. The award is a testament to the quality of the products and demonstrates once again that the companies are heading in the right direction. When we speak of good design, I don’t just mean the outward appearance of the products. They are all characterised by excellent functionality. This shows that the designers have understood their customers and their needs,” says Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award.

Honouring the winners
On 9 July 2018, the winners will be honoured as part of the Red Dot Gala. During the award ceremony at the Aalto Theatre in Essen, the Red Dot: Best of the Best award-winners will receive their well-earned trophies on the stage.

About the Red Dot Design Award:
In order to be able to expertly assess the diversity in the field of design, the Red Dot Design Award is split into three disciplines – Red Dot Award: Product Design, Red Dot Award: Communication Design and Red Dot Award: Design Concept. The Red Dot Award is one of the largest design competitions in the world. In 1955, a jury came together for the first time to review the best designs of the time. In the 1990s, Red Dot CEO Professor Dr. Peter Zec developed the name and the branding of the award. Since then, the prestigious Red Dot award has been the internationally highly respected seal of quality for outstanding design quality. Further information is available at www.red-dot.de.
